Last year, Marks and Spencer, the huge British household name, enacted the biggest shake-up to their spirits range that the brand has seen in years, including brand new bottles.

A main aim of the project was for the new bottles to stay close to Marks and Spencer’s roots and be manufactured here in Britain. With Verallia UK being based in Leeds, just a stone’s throw away from the first ever M&S kiosk, which can still be found in Leeds Kirkgate Market, we were delighted to take on the project.

The bottles were bespoke designed by our design team with custom details such as the ‘Made in Britain’ embossing in the punt adding a personal touch to an otherwise elegantly simple bottle shape.

Rum has been slowly increasing in popularity, but we forecast 2023 as being the year that the Rum market sees a huge boom.

One thing that has launched Rum into the spotlight has been the premiumisation of the spirit, and what builds an aura of premium more than a beautiful glass bottle?

The @soggydollarrum bottle is the perfect example of how bottle design influences brand image. The embossing on the front of the bottle paired with their branded labeling creates stunning packaging to elevate the Soggy Dollar brand.

Sustainability is now at center stage, politically and socially, prompting many businesses to assess how they operate.

Glass is one of the only packaging materials that can be infinitely recyclable in a closed bottle-to-bottle loop. Once produced, a glass bottle becomes the primary resource needed to produce new bottles – saving resources, energy and lowering carbon emissions.

Check your local government sites to find out where your closest recycling point is!
