The Company

Burnt Faith aims to unlock the real potential of brandy as the UK’s first dedicated brandy house. Launching their 001 batch in 2023, the distillery was inspired by the alcohol found in the region of France and the incredible complex spirits coming out of the region. After realising that brandy had largely been left behind in the UK market, Burnt Faith set out to invigorate its image through edgy branding and endless taste combinations.  With a mission to break brandy out of its traditional constraints, Burnt Faith’s Charentais distilled brandy is like no other.

Brandy Without Boundaries

Keeping Manufacturing Close

In their London-based brandy house, Burnt Faith hone their knowledge, equipment and attitude, so it was important to the team that they worked with a glass bottle manufacturer that also values a mix of traditionalist and innovative techniques. That’s why they approached us at Verallia.

Our UK-based glass factory allowed the team to see where, and how, their bespoke glass bottle vision would be brought into reality. Through each step of their glass journey, we were able to feed their fire for brandy innovation with our experts’ knowledge and hands on approach.

This became an incredibly important aspect of our working partnership after the first glass bottle sample was created. With the glass bottle featuring a bespoke design, we wanted to ensure that the end result perfectly matched Burnt Faith’s vision. To achieve this, our account managers and manufacturing team worked collaboratively with Burnt Faith’s founders to guide them through the tumultuous process of bringing a new bottle to market. Advising them on not only the design but also scalability.

Deep-rooted Traditionalism

While Burnt Faith aims to distil on the cutting edge of brandy, they still value the deep-rooted traditionalism present in the spirits distilling process. To honour this, the brands creative partners, Contagious, decided to keep the iconic brandy shape present in Burnt Faith 001 batch’s glass bottle.

Inspired by the copper stills used to craft the spirit, brandy bottles commonly feature a wide round base with long curved neck, a shape that makes it the perfect fit for a personal collection or centre stage in a busy bar. Taking this on board, the Burnt Faith 001 batch bottle doesn’t just imitate this shape but elevates it.

Its geometric base is softened by smooth edges which illicitness a modern yet comfortable feel. Partnered with a long, and slimmer than average, beautifully embossed neck, the bottle is tactile when held and can be easily poured with one hand.

Sustainability at its Core

Building on the bottles modern twist on a classic design, we knew that the bottles glass formulation also had to perfectly align with Burnt Faith’s values.

Sustainability is the underlying driver of Burnt Faith’s mission, in particular the idea that only through sustainable practices can traditions be maintained. That’s why we created Batch 001’s bottles using 60% recycled glass, in order to reduce the waste and carbon emissions in every sip.

18th of November marks International Poitin Day.

Poitin is a traditional Irish spirit, typically distilled between 40%-70% ABV that dates back to 1st Century AD. Historically the spirit was outlawed in Ireland as a result of taxation in 1661, but more recently has had a revival, being legalised in 1997.

Poitin carries an abundance of Irish heritage, being made with native ingredients such as barley, potatoes, and oats. Today Poitin is quickly gaining popularity, as it’s exported across countries, telling its story across borders.

Embodying Irish craftsmanship, @DrinkMadMarchHare_ celebrates heritage in every bottle. They expertly produce smooth, authentic poitin, encompassed in a decadent glass bottle created by Verallia.

Today marks an artistry that is often described as ‘fiercely Irish’.

    Happy International Poitin Day, sláinte!
